Following in the footsteps of a little-known group of esoteric seekers from the late-nineteenth century who called themselves “the Miracle Club,” Mitch Horowitz shows that the spiritual “wish fulfillment” practices known as the Law of Attraction, Positive Thinking, “the Secret,” and the Science of Getting Rich actually work. Weaving these ideas together into a concise, clear formula, with real-life examples of success, he reveals how your thoughts can impact reality and make things happen. Mitch Horowitz explains how we each possess a creative agency to determine and reshape our lives. He shows how thinking in a directed, highly focused, and emotively charged manner expands our capacity to perceive and transform events and allows us to surpass ordinary boundaries of time and physical space. Building on Neville Goddard’s view that the human imagination is God the Creator and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s techniques for attaining personal power, he explores the highest uses of mind-power metaphysics and explains what works and what doesn’t, illuminating why and how events bend to our thoughts. He encourages readers to experiment and find themselves “at the helm of infinite possibilities.” Laying out a specific path to manifest your deepest desires, from wealth and love to happiness and security, Horowitz provides focused exercises and concrete tools for change and looks at ways to get more out of prayer, affirmation, and visualization. He also provides the first serious reconsideration of New Thought philosophy since the death of William James in 1910. He includes crucial insights and effective methods from the movement’s leaders such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Napoleon Hill, Neville Goddard, William James, Andrew Jackson Davis, Wallace D. Wattles, and many others. Defining a miracle as “circumstances or events that surpass all conventional or natural expectation,” the author invites you to join him in pursuing miracles and achieve power over your own life.

Bottled up anger can cause havoc if it cannot find its way out of our emotional system. We have to find a way to release it before it inflates our body and mind and causes severe damage, often cancer when speaking of the body, and in the mind often a permanent state of hostility towards everybody and everything.
Anger is an emotional issue, and if we can source code it we will not have to allow it to penetrate and define the wholeness of our life.
Main stream New Age is not necessarily a friend here. It often condemns feelings like anger, jealousy, hurt as low frequency. Even more, it will often just flip the coin on you and tell you it is your own fault, karma, what you have you attracted and so on – so just. Forgive.
New Age often becomes a prison in all of its Don’ts and No-Goes instead of a liberating force. It sugar-coats what it sees as ‘bad’ with cliché solutions that will not contain the problem – sugar-coating a muffin filled with rot and maggots does not make it taste better.
There are levels of engagement in getting rid of anger, jealousy, feeling betrayed and such emotions, and what needs to be said and done in order to release it is the first step. After that we can talk of transcending it into understanding and forgiveness and hope that the anger really flew out of the windows we opened for it.
My question is:
Why do so many spiritually engaged people find it so hard to admit and come to terms with the fact that they have this anger and similar emotions that are New Age politically incorrect?
The answer lies within the question.
So, let us for a moment disengage from Mainstream New Age and all of its Don’ts and get real.
If you’re angry – you’re angry. You need to deal with it and not spread it around as a state of mind you are in, and wasting time painting an angry face with a smiley. You are busted anyway.
I spend some years working with teens who had been exposed to incest from a very early age. Children are so loyal to their parents. The first step in healing that was to make them acknowledge that what was done to them was just plain bad, wrong, disgusting. And that is exactly the way they felt about themselves: bad, wrong, disgusting.
Self-blame for a situation they had no responsibility for, being only victims of the deranged adults. It took time to turn that around. To make them see and feel that. To turn the self-blame into: Blame. Yes, the hard reality. They needed a target for blame outside themselves in order to turn the self-blame outwards towards their parents or family members.
Next step was to actively tell their torturers: “What you did to me is so beyond words, you subhuman low life scum” – and then the healing kicked in. At a very rapid speed. At a mature age, which they have now, they maybe could not forgive, but at least they could come to terms with the fact that they were abused, in a way that they would not seek a self-destructive anger-driven spiralling down into promiscuity, booze and drugs.
Half a year I was talking with a man from Holland. He has severe cancer.
He started to mention how his mother hated men. Saw them as a threat, dishonest, lying scumbags and that programming. She was very generous in sharing her opinions of men with him even before he became a toddler. They lived alone, no man in the house, only him as the man in the house, and she would target him in every situation for being a man, which also included making a ridicule of his genitals. I will spare your insight on his girlfriend troubles; they should be obvious.
It made me aware of why he got the cancer.
He was trying to erase himself – like his mother did, and as mentioned in the start of this post – the problem inflated into his male body.
I started to say: Did you ever tell your mother that she is one psychotic bitch? And he hung up.
In what may be the largest worker strike in history, last week India came to a halt for two days when at least 200 million workers – about 16% of India’s 1.25 billion population – in the country’s public, services, communications and agriculture sectors staged a strike across the country organized by ten labor unions against what they called the anti-national and anti-worker policies of the BJP-led government, and against a new labor law that would undermine the rights of workers and unions.
The strike is a protest against new legislation that passed on 2 January, and is a de facto verdict on Prime Minister Narendra Modi providing an opportunity for millions of workers to protest against high prices and high levels of unemployment, something we touched upon in “The Indian Railway System Announced 63,000 Job Openings… 19 Million People Applied.”
John Dayal, general secretary of the All India Christian Council, told AsiaNews that the event was exceptional, “one of the largest ever organised in the country, planned in advance in every detail.” In his view, the most important thing is that it “is taking place on the eve of general elections that will mark the fate of the prime minister”.
While the massive strike took place in an overall context of calm, there were numerous incidents confirming that social anger in the world’s second most populous nation is also approaching a breaking point: protesters blocked several cities, clashes broke out and damage were reported; a 57-year-old woman died in in Mundagod, a city in northern Karnataka, during a local protest. In Maharashtra more than 5,000 workers blocked the Mumbai-Baroda-Jaipur-Delhi highway. In Puducherry (Pondicherry), on the east coast, protesters hurled stones at a Tamil Nadu state bus. Transport services closed and rail services were disrupted in Kerala. In Odisha (Orissa), shops, schools, offices and markets shut down for 48 hours. In West Bengal, protesters burnt effigies of Prime Minister Modi.
The national strike was an initiative of the Central Trade Unions (CTU), which is an India-wide labor federation. Unions are opposed to the Trade Unions (Amendment) Bill of 2018 which modified the Trade Union Act of 1926.
Under the law, trade union recognition is mandatory at both at national and state level. However, workers believe that the new law grants the government discretionary power in recognizing labor organizations, effectively eliminating the current bargaining process involving employees, employers and the government.
Unions demanded the enactment of the Social Security Act to protect workers and a minimum wage of 24,000 rupees (more than US$ 340) for the unorganised transport sector.
The infamous human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine by Gardasil is in use around the world for both girls and boys, even though an American court has ruled beyond the shadow of a doubt that the vaccine can kill people.
The Tarsell family lost their 21-year-old daughter when she died shortly after getting this vaccine, and because of their determination to hold the vaccine maker accountable, they have proven that this vaccine is dangerous and needs to be removed from the schedule of vaccines.
No family should ever have to go through such an ordeal, but for the sake of justice for Christina Tarsell, the Tarsell family won an incredibly important judgement. Her story is told in brief, here:
Hi. My name is Christina Richelle Tarsell, but people call me Chris. I celebrated my 21st birthday in November 2007; I did not live to see my 22nd. Suddenly and inexplicably, I died in bed in June 2008. An autopsy report said that the cause of my death was undetermined. My family wanted to know what happened to me and, led by attorney Mark Sadaka, they pursued an extensive investigation. World-class experts in immunology, Dr. Yehuda Shoenfeld and cardiology and electrophysiology, Dr. Michael Eldar determined that I died from an arrhythmia induced by an autoimmune response to the HPV vaccine Gardasil which I had received only days before my death.
Incredibly, by law, vaccine manufacturers like Merck cannot be held liable for injuries and deaths caused by their vaccines. The only recourse my family had was to file a claim against the Secretary of Health and Human Services to hold them accountable.
After 8 long years, the government finally conceded that we met our burden of proof that Gardasil caused my death.
This is a precedent setting case. I am deeply grateful to everyone who, guided by truth and a higher consciousness, would not let my death be dismissed as a “coincidence.” Here are the links to the ruling by Judge Coster Williams and the revised ruling by the Special Master.
Confirmed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the final ruling serves as a warning that Merck’s Gardasil vaccine can cause autoimmune problems which may cause sudden debilitation and/or death.
The final ruling has been confirmed by the Department of Health and Human Services: Merck’s Gardasil vaccine causes autoimmune problems that cause sudden debilitation and/or death. This ruling supports claims that the vaccine is just too dangerous to risk, and to date we know of at least 271 young women who’ve died after getting the vaccine, and over 57,520 reports of adverse reactions to the vaccine.
