Interview With The Lifelike Hot Robot Named Sophia (Full) | CNBC

Steve Says…

The whole A.I. theme has grown far beyond what is really capable. Artificial Intelligence is not possible. What you are witnessing is simply software – not intelligence. The illusion of “intelligence” will be perceived by those that have no true understanding of software or software development. Faster and faster processing will run the lookup tables, if then else branches and may appear to the un-knowledgeable to be “clever” – similar to a chess computer for example. There is no intelligence. There is no “understanding”, no perception and no meaningful abstract “thinking”. Its all just software code. This may not be a popular comment for those that want to see an “intelligent” machine but the best you’ll get is a fast expert system (software).
